The path from being a Tekwill resident to offices in Chisinau and San Francisco.

XOR portrays one of the brightest success stories among Moldovan startups. Just a few years ago, XOR started as a Tekwill resident with a small team of developers led by one of XOR's founders - Nikolay Manolov.

Today, XOR has evolved into a large international team. Product development for XOR is directed by the Chișinău office, while sales, marketing, and public relations are controlled by the San Francisco office.

Company sales are mainly concentrated in the US market as well as in Russia.

On investments

Every startup is a company in a perpetual process of change. The ability to adapt is the only way to survive and rise to the top in a fiercely competitive environment. That's why it's not surprising that the founders change their ideas on the company from one month to another and, especially, from one quarter to another.

In mid-summer 2020, during an interview, Aida Fazilova, the company's co-founder, defined XOR's positioning towards investment as follows, "We don't need investment yet. We raised $8.4 million last year from a venture capital fund in San Francisco. However, we are doing quite well with sales revenue at this point, so we are refraining from attracting new investments for now. As for defining the role of XOR, I would say it is a platform that facilitates communication between employers and employees."

HR Tech Awards 2020

A remarkable achievement for XOR was the award received at the HR Tech Awards 2020.

In an industry where "solution providers" come and go, consumers find it difficult to navigate and identify companies whose solutions align perfectly with their business interests.

For this reason, the HR Tech Awards aimed to identify and reward companies that are making a real impact by providing customized solutions in managing a company's workforce, (what is commonly known today as “talent management”). The HR Tech Awards awarded XOR as the best emerging innovative technology solution in 2020. The judging panel was comprised of industry leaders, business professionals, academics, and independent experts.

Ben Eubanks, HR expert, and HR Tech Awards speaker said the jury was impressed by the flexibility of XOR's communication platform and chatbots: "Chatbots can be customized in a variety of ways. The jury was delighted to observe this flexibility, which is not intended to diminish the human role in the technological process, but to empower it in its creative dimension."

Eubanks gave the example of a Fortune 100 company that automated interviews among recruiters and candidates with the help of an XOR chatbot. As a result, scheduling costs dropped by 85%, and hiring time was reduced by 10%. Scheduling became 65% faster and candidate satisfaction scores increased by 94%.
