Professional Background
Aiga Irmeja is a specialist with 20 years of experience in IT management and marketing. Since 2015, she has been leading the Latvian IT Cluster — a key tech platform in Latvia that brings together over 70 IT companies. Under her leadership, the cluster has evolved from a local network into a recognized European Digital Innovation Hub (EDIH).
Aiga also serves as the Chair of the National Advisory Board for Smart Specialisation (ICT), the body responsible for shaping the country’s digital strategy. Her responsibilities include large-scale reforms in business digital transformation, integration of European support tools (grants, acceleration, hackathons), and building bridges between IT and other sectors of the economy.
Education
Business education, including an MBA in Marketing (Riga Business School).
