Owner of Calarasi Divin
Moldova / Kazan
Professional Background
A native of Kazan, Ildar Halitov has come a long way — from serving in the military and working at a tire repair plant to becoming a key figure in Moldova’s alcoholic beverage industry. In the early 2000s, he held executive positions at Dionis Club, including overseeing the plant in Vulcănești, which exported up to 2 million bottles per month. Since 2006, he has been the director of Calarasi Divin, and by 2014, became its owner. In ten years, he transformed the company from a nominal privatized asset into a full-fledged national brand, preserving its historical heritage and launching strategic investments.
Company Specialization
Calarasi Divin is the oldest divin (Moldovan brandy) producer in Moldova, founded in 1895 by David Sarajishvili. It is the only Moldovan producer that supplies its entire production with grapes from its own vineyards. The distillery produces products under the IGP Divin label, which certifies their origin and quality according to European standards.
